In our tireless pursuit of ensuring more sustainable practices, the consumption of local products has emerged as a very prominent trend in our hotels. People are increasingly becoming more aware of the benefits of selecting local foods and products, which benefit both personal health and the environment. At PortBlue Hotel Group we wholeheartedly embrace this initiative by incorporating local products in our hotels. 

We are proud to present a diverse selection of regional products in our hotels, thus ensuring an authentic and sustainable culinary experience. All the fruit and vegetables we use are grown locally, endowing them with exceptional freshness and an authentic flavour that intimately connects us with the essence of Astorga’s fertile land. The delicious Mallorcan sobrasada, crafted from pigs raised and nourished on regional products, enthrals visitors with its divine flavour and sublime texture. Equally delightful is the artisanal Mahon cheese, made with milk from the local cows, boasting an unmistakable flavour and creamy texture.

Font Major Natural Mineral Water from Mallorca

An emblem of Mallorca, much like its source: the majestic Puig Major mountain measuring more than 1,400 metres and standing tall as the highest mountain in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands. This stunning natural feature forms part of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, a protected nature reserve since 2007 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.

Agama, milk from Mallorcan farms

The milk from Mallorcan farms that graces your breakfast table has its origins in the vision of the Mallorcan Agrarian Association (AGAMA), created in 1958 with the dream of creating a union that would support the development of the dairy industry in Mallorca.

 

Gin Xoriguer, the most famous gin in all of Menorca. 

Renowned as probably the Mediterranean’s oldest gin, Xoriguer Distilleries meticulously crafts this exquisite drink using an artisanal recipe dating back to the early 1700s. Employing copper stills that have gracefully withstood the test of time for over 250 years, this gin has earned the prestigious ‘Gin from Mahón’ Geographical Indication.

 

Binifadet, wines that embody the spirit of the land.

These wines are meticulously crafted with minimal intervention, using selected grapes from the finest “tancas”, or plots of land, in Menorca.

Tender sobrasada

Tender sobrasada is a traditional sausage from the Balearic Islands, especially Mallorca. It is a type of sobrasada with a particularly smooth and creamy texture.

Sweet butifarrón sausage 

Unlike sobrasada, butifarrón is a sausage with a softer texture and a mixture of sweet and savoury flavours.

 

Flor d’Ametler, the cosmetics of Mallorca.

The history of “Flor d’Ametler” goes back 70 years. The creator of these unique cosmetics grew up in a totally unspoilt rural area of the island. This is how, deeply rooted in his land, culture and local essence, he created the island’s most beloved cosmetic products.
